Celebrating the success of our first Joseph House Gala

Last week we celebrated our first big community bash with over 100 close friends and supportive folks in our community.

A Joseph House Feast

We shared our stories with one another and discussed our mission. Bishop Bill Wack shared his thoughts on how the mission of Joseph House reminds him of Dorothy Day's mission to bring love and hospitality to those society tends to exclude. And Tallahassee's Public Defender, Andy Thomas, addressed the vast injustices in our criminal justice system and the importance of seeing those who often are unseen in our community.

We met our financial goal

We are happy to share that an additional success of our gala is that we raised enough funds to begin our house expansion project! This will afford us three more rooms for three more brothers in need of a home and community in their journey back with us.
